Japan is a country with a strong cultural identity and where many traditions and customs, which have their roots in ancient times, blended harmoniously in the modern daily life: one of the most notable and interesting is undoubtedly the tea culture.
In Kyoto, during one of the most important festivals of the country, the history of Japan comes back to life: prepare to meet samurai, daimyo, shogun, princesses, priests and many others historical figures at the Jidai Matsuri.
Today is the September Equinox and this means that the autumn has officially begun, so I want to celebrate this event sharing a series of blog posts about a few places of a land that’s famous worldwide for the beauty of this season: Japan; today I’ll tell you of my experience at the DaigoJi, in Kyoto.
