After a cloudy early morning, the sun finally came out, illuminating the winter paradise contained in this high terraced plateau. The snowy village of Aiunokura shines like a jewel under a blue sky and walking through the “dunes” of snow is like jumping through the white clouds.

This shot is an hdr blend of three exposures (to cope with the crazy wide dynamic range of this scene), taken with the Pentax 50mm f/1.2 and the Kenko Zéta EX Circular Polarizer, which helped me to get a deep blue sky.
